Three baby owls, Sarah, Percy and Bill, wake up one night in their hole in a tree to find that their mother has gone. So they sit on a branch and wait. Darkness gathers and the owls grow anxious, wondering when their mother will return. But, at last, she does, and they bounce up and down with joy, welcoming her home.

Sorry for the delay... cooking involved! 'oa' focus. Challenge- go around the house finding things with the 'oa' sound. If you have oats you could make some flapjacks!
Focus on the 'igh' trigraph. Challenge- to try and write a sentence with a word with the 'igh' sound in.
'ee' focus today. Follow up tasks- go around your house looking for things with the 'ee' sound in. Create some dance moves to 'shotgun'. :)
ai focus. Draw/ paint a picture of snail and write a sentence about it.
Create a phonic game and practise the sounds we have covered this week (ch, sh, th and ng).
Play a game to help recognise tricky words like the one on the video. Find things in your house the 'ng' sound. Practise writing a sentence with on of the tricky words or the word you've found with the 'ng' sound. Enjoy the sunshine! :)
